Determine U-Joint Style and Dimensions (both front and rear)
*Note there are many different kinds of u-joints. If you do not see your style listed, please call our help line at 1-800.552.7647.

Determine the transmission (front end) style:    (choose one)
Style A

Style A--Front:
1. Bearing Cap Diameter:
Measure B as shown in diagram
2. Length:
Measure between yoke ears as shown in diagram

OR
Style B

Style B -- Front:
Bearing Cap Diameter:
Measure B
Length:
Measure outside the yoke ears of overall length of u-joint with caps on (O)

Determine the rear end style:   (choose one)
Style A

Style A -- Rear End:
Bearing Cap Diameter:
Measure B
Length:
Measure between yoke ears as shown in diagram

OR
Style B

Style B -- Rear End:
Bearing Cap Diameter:
Measure B
Length:
Measure outside the yoke ears of overall length of u-joint with caps on (O)

Determine drive shaft type using styles 1 to 6 - provide measurements - then submit form.
As with u-joints, there are many different driveshaft configurations. Please refer to the drawings below and fill in the required measurements as listed for you driveshaft type. (If you don't have an existing shaft continue to the bottom of the form.)

*The weight of the vehicle must be on the springs when measuring to ensure a correct running length.

style 1
1. Slide slip yoke into the transmission, pull it back out 3/4 to 1 inch and measure from the center of the u-joint in the slip yoke to the flange face or center of the u-joint at the rear end:

Measure D as shown in diagram

Comments:

Two piece driveline -- style 2 & 3
Style 2
1. Measure from centerline of u-joint to center of center bearing mounting bolts (E).
2. If shaft has transmissions slip yoke into transmission, pull it back 3/4 to 1 inch, then measure center to center (G):

Style 3
1. Measure from centerline of u-joint to center of center bearing mounting bolts (F).
2. Also measure from center line to the end of the slip yoke (H):
3. Measure the spline diameter:
4. Count the splines of the slip Yoke:

Comments:

Two piece driveline -- style 4 & 5

Style 4 -- Front half of 2 piece fixed shaft

1. Measure from centerline of u-joint to center of center bearing mounting bolts (E).

Style 5 -- Rear half of 2 piece driveline - slip shaft
1. Measure from centerline of u-joint to center of u-joint (J) in running position:

Comments:

style 6
1. Measure from flange face to flange face (L) (in running position):
2. Measure *pilot diameter:
3. Measure *flange bolt circle:
*Flange bolt circle - Measure the distance across the bolt holes diagonally center to center.
* Pilot diameter - the flange pilot is a raised (male) or recessed (female) area used for alignment of the flange. It's usually inside the bolt circle.

Comments:

If you have nothing but a rear end-yoke
1. Measure from the end of the output shaft on the transmission to the center of the u-joint on the rear end or flange face to flange face:
2. If there is a cross member for a center support bearing measure from the end of the transmission output shaft to the center of the cross member bolt holes:
